Samer
spent his childhood in Syrian Damascus, where his father
comes from, mother is Czech. Samer´s
younger brother name´s Marwan. Samer and his family
lived in Decin again from Samer´s 6 till 19 years. He´s
been living in Prague since he took part in the Czech
Idol. He was given an unwonted gift – he can
apostrophize people (no matter the age) and he gets them
through his energy. He´s refused the simple ways to
achieve a fame and he breaks his own path which is
original and honest.
He
exactly knows what he wants to do in music. He was the
only one who infused a new blood to
the czech showbusiness after long time. He moves the
borders and brings something new, unrecognized and mixes
cultures together, musical elements from east and west
are naturally combined in his music.
Czech
lyrics sung by Samer are rich and coloured, they give a
new size to the czech language. His sensitive personal
show is connected with rare rich native language. His
expression grows with his age,
knowledge and experiences
He
is extremely charismatic, friendly, extraordinarily
talented and enormously diligent. He performs, composes
and records. He intensively studies dancing, also
improves his English and especially he takes classes of
singing technique by prof. Eduard Klezla. Besides facts
said above he is preparing for the leaving examination
at ESO – Euroschool in Ceska Lipa.

What
people say about him:
Eduard
Klezla – vocal consultant : I
think Samer is fabulously talented and the essential
thing is to develop his gift. He has a different voice
colour in comparison with standard czech one. His
musical vision is different as well and the way how he
works with songs can be very interesting for czech
audience.

Janis
Sidovský – manager and producer : In my
opinion Samer is very dirigent and talented and I think
that his qualities can overrun czech borders…We´ve
met for the three times and his behaviour in private
differs from the articles in the tabloids.

Jiří
Černý – musical publicist: Issa is
fantastically musical and universal, esp. as regards
intonation, rhythm and movement change.

Vladimír
Vlasák - musical publicist: Singer wanted to
see black music through Czech republic, he was equipped
with his album called Busted. But the album was rather
first step on his mission but hope Issa´s enthusiasm
will keep on and he won´t lose the aim. Issa´s album
is a good compromise among american rhythm & blues
and Czech Energy and lightness were
concentrated into the songs by producer Jorge Corante,
cohesion and variety are the next advantage of the
album. Attractive piece called Let Me Apologize by
Ondrej Brzobohaty sets swinging on find jazz ripple, the
most coloured song is Shake It moves from rap to arabian
tones. Martina Balogova in Adorable sings so exciting (she
shows almost semi-whispering). Babylon (sung in Czech)
is precious as well. As regards sound Issa´s album in
competition with other Czech Idols moved over
traditional home-made pop conception.
Josef
Vlček - musical publicist: Samer was
released later then the others, his album isn´t bad and
from a historical view perhaps it moved with youth´s
taste more than any other one in last ten years.
Irena
Zemanová – musical publicist: Obviously
the most expressive face from the last year Czech Idol,
Samer Issa, changes the image of
Czech showbusiness... Samer Issa markedly began to speak
to Czech´s musical scene. He´s grateful to cooperation
with producer Jorge Corante. Thanks to Corante Issa has
brought pure american R'n'B to Czech, there was a gap in
this genre here ... Issa has become a real new star. His
debut is sold in ten thousands copies but he is also a
perfect representative for the advertising campaigns
focused on lucrative target group of young consumers.

Karel
Gott - singer : Samer Issa makes good dance
things, his phrasing is strong stuff.
Helena
Vondráčková - singer: I
see 2 big talents in the Czech Idol, one of them is
Martina Balogova (i really like her voice) and the
second one is likable Samer Issa.
Aneta
Langerová – singer, 1st Czech Idol
: I was very pleased by Samer, even through
his messages against all :-) He is crazy
but at ease. I appreciate he makes music which he ever
wanted to do. He has hisown opinions, he doesn´t crowd
anywhere. He is the strongest person from the TOP 10.
D.J.Witch
: I don´t listen to music much except for hip-hop
scene but I like few things from Streets. Samer,
who made the RNB album, was a suprise for me. I gaped at
it and told myself, you´re so good you went into it,
chum.

MF
DNES : The album is a good compromise among
american rhythm & blues and Czech. Energy and
lightness were concentrated into the songs by producer.
As regards sound Issa´s album in competition with other
Czech Idols moved over traditional home-made
pop conception.
Sandra
Bursáková – editor in chief of Bravo magazine
: Samer´s certain controversy is very attractive
for our readers. Samer became not only total winner of
reader´s sms competition called Golden Otto but he even
beat Eminem in hip hop category!

Daniel
Köppl – editor in chief of weekly magazine
Marketing&Media: Samer Issa personilizes
advertiser´s image about how the modern young guy looks
like and acts. In part Issa is very popular nowadays and
in advertiser´s eyes he has all important atributes of
young generation in addition.

Martina
Kroulíková – marketing director of LG company :
Consumer´s immediate interest in our new product was
enormous. Advetisment with Samer also affected sale of
other models of LG cell phones.

Aleš
Borovan a Irena Zemanová – musical publicists :
Busted by newcomer Samer Issa can be included side by
side with Usher, Justin Timberlake or Black Eyed Peas in
every discography. His album, which is unit of genre and
style, is opened with penetrative Busted. Its arangments
evoke professional world production. Issa isn´t lost in
„street“ English: he demonstrates clean phrasing, he
puts all his craft into hands of black rhythm and
music – strong soul´s vocals are Issa´s device.
Packed Wazz up sounds naturally or energic coctail of
rhythms Shake ingeniously spiced with arabian melodies.
Ondrej Brzobohaty maked splendid work on Issa´s debut,
his part on album is inconsiderable. Brzobohaty consigns
Issa to a bar seat in velvet soul ballad, the last piece
called Let Me Apologize sounds like a song from a smoky
jazz dancery somewhere in Chigaco suburb.
“Compulsory“ songs sung in Czech can be the only
reproach of album Busted. Czech doesn´t fit to Issa´s
mouth, esp. in Kdyz jsem sam Samer flavours pop boyband
solist instead of black prompter. Anyhow Busted blazes
of colours in every sense of this expression.

Petr
Mareček – publicist MF Dnes : Samer
Issa just came. This audience´s sweetheart watched
teddy bears fallen onto stage with amusement and started
singing songs from Busted. Suddenly people found
themselves in the middle of MTV party where agressive
loops beat in present black rhythm& blues. Samer
with his soft and flexible voice manages perfect English,
Samer was singing and dancing with Dance2XS on moving
piece Busted. He was sitting on bar seat when he was
singing slow song Smile. He and Martina Balogova
unchained erotic fug on red mattress in duet Adorable.
And Phil Collins´s ballad Against All Odds would be
surely commended by author himself. From all 5 perfomers
Samer is the only one who would be able to
manage full-lenght professional show (but mattress would
have to be replaced with big bed). Samer should bet on
natural charisma and “cheek“ and shouldn´t thank
for everything so sentimental. If somebody hope that
someone from TOP 10 ripples czech pop music pond, Samer
has given convincing evidence to him, although czech
ears have to get accustomed to Samer´s style of music.
